There's a Chase credit card with a $450 annual fee, a $300 annual travel credit, unlimited Priority Pass guests, 6x at Marriott hotels, and a $100 on-property credit on stays of 2+ nights. You can't find it on Chase's website. You can't apply for it directly. And almost nobody talks about it.

It's called the Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card, and it's one of the best-kept secrets in the points community.

What Is the Ritz-Carlton Card?

Chase quietly removed the Ritz-Carlton card from new applications years ago — it disappeared from their public card lineup without announcement. But Chase never closed existing accounts, and more importantly: they still allow eligible Marriott Bonvoy Boundless cardholders to product change into the Ritz-Carlton card by calling customer service.

Product changes don't generate a new hard inquiry and don't require reapplication. Your account number stays the same. You just get a new card with better benefits.

The $300 Travel Credit

The $300 travel credit is broader than the Amex Platinum's $200 airline fee credit. It applies to airlines, hotels, and car rentals — not just incidental fees. For most travelers, this credit is easy to use in full, effectively reducing the annual fee to $150.

At an effective $150/year with unlimited Priority Pass guests and the hotel credits, the Ritz-Carlton card is an exceptional value for Marriott loyalists who travel with family or colleagues (the unlimited guest Priority Pass benefit alone is worth $100–$200/year for couples who fly together).

The Unlimited Priority Pass Guests

This is the detail most people miss. Most premium cards with Priority Pass limit free guests to 2 per visit. The Ritz-Carlton card has no guest limit. If you regularly travel with a family or team, this compounds quickly: two extra guests at $35/each per visit = $70 saved per trip.

How to Get It

  1. You must hold the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card (the personal Marriott card with a $95 annual fee)
  2. You must have held the card for at least 12 months before Chase will approve the product change
  3. Call the number on the back of your Boundless card and ask to "product change to the Ritz-Carlton Rewards card"
  4. Not all representatives will be familiar with this — be persistent and escalate if needed
  5. You will not receive a new sign-up bonus (product changes don't qualify)
⚠️ Important: Product changing from the Boundless to the Ritz-Carlton card means giving up the Boundless's annual free night certificate (up to 35,000 points). Evaluate whether the Ritz-Carlton benefits outweigh that loss for your specific travel patterns.
💡 The Ritz-Carlton card is currently tracked on Peak Points as a wallet card since it's not available for public applications. If you have it, add it to your wallet to see where it earns best across categories.
